GR-G1 - Day 4 - Resting

I wake up really early, but even though I am still tired I can't quite make myself fall back asleep, outside I can see a beautiful sunset starting to begin. It's around 6:00 and I grab my camera, phone, and headphones, get out and watch the sunrise. Observing how the clouds move over the sea and change their colors.

It's a beautiful way to start into the day and after I had watched the entire thing I felt so much at peace that I could go back to sleep again. So I made my way back to the bed, to sleep for another hour or two.

When I wake up again, it is already later in the day. Today we agreed to take a bit of a day of rest in this beautiful hostel. And a day like this is absolutely necessary because our bones still ache from the hiking and we just want to rest our feet and enjoy our lives again for a day before continuing the hike along the Trace du Alicés here in the South. And after the adventure from the day before at night, we sorely need this rest in this beautiful space.

Unfortunately there are already guests in the gîté (apartment) we stayed in so we had to move to another small apartment. While waiting for everything to be ready, we play some foosball near the pool of the hotel. A while later, we also go to the supermarket replenish our supplies for the second trip of the hike, and prepare some milk rice, and read. For me, I start Harry Potter and the Methods of Rationality (hpmor) again because I feel like I don't have enough energy to read something "constructive" that day. Anything where I would need to strain my brain is off limits. And reading hpmor feels like meeting an old friend again after a long time. It's simply wonderful.

And before soon, this day of rest comes to an end, and we go to sleep early to be ready again for the next day of hiking. Waterfalls await us for the next bit of the hike and it's going to be awesome.
